But in spite of all that, I keep coming back to the idea that Michel Le Bon might be thrown in with just 10-4 on his back.
We've virtually nothing to go on. He won a Grade 2 novice chase at this meeting in 2009, but in truth it was a small field hatchet job that told us little.

At 13/2 there's not much wrong with the favourite Aiteen Thirtythree, who ran an encouraging warm-up behind Somersby at Kempton, and will be ridden by Ruby Walsh. But after him there's not much else at the top of the market to get excited about: the recent Paddy Power Gold Cup winner, Great Endeavour, won't be seeing out this trip; Wymott simply doesn't look good enough; and the likes of Wayward Prince and Beshabar, while game enough, will be off the bridle after two miles and trading much bigger in-running.
Sarando won well at Carlisle recently and is mildly interesting at 14/1 - but he's an inconsistent "sort".
We've been beating SP comfortably so far, which is a good part of the battle, but I doubt we'll be doing that this time - the punters will most likely follow Ruby.
Michel Le Bon: 1pt win at 8/1 (generally available)
