The Arrers: PDC World Championship

In the darts, the policy is almost invariably the same: pick a couple of players at a decent each-way price in the bottom half of the drawer - ie the half of the draw that doesn't include Phil Taylor - and hope for the best.

The point being that if one of your selections flukes it into the final, you get paid out at half the odds.

We're well into the tournament now, and the betting market is taking shape.

This year, the bottom half of the draw should be fought out by James Wade & Adrian Lewis.  They're trading at around the 8/1 mark.  Old timers Terry Jenkins and Kevin Painter are 33/1 and 40/1 respectively, and so it's easy to make a case for backing them instead.

Emerging talent Justin Pipe is interesting at 50/1 but I'd rather stick with the more experienced players on the biggest stage of all.

Terry Jenkins: 0.5pt e/w at 33/1 (Ladbrokes)
Kevin Painter: 0.5 pt e/w at 40/1 (Ladbrokes)
