So it seems obtuse now to be backing Lambro for the same race at 25s.
Lambro lines up today against Last Instalment in the P J Moriarty at Leopardstown. He's shown good form at 2 miles and should, on his hurdles form, be able to cope with the step up in trip. Whether he can deal with the fluent jumping Last Instalment is another matter entirely, but he's clearly not unfancied in the market.

Last Instalment again showed he's the best jumper in the staying novice division and at least looks capable of giving Grands Crus a race in the RSA Chase at the Cheltenham Festival horse racing. I really like Grands Crus, and think he'd go close in the GC, but a small part of me screams he's an accident waiting to happen.
ReplyDeleteCheers Robyn. I fully expect to see Grands Crus in the RSA. I know he was impressive at Kempton, but I can't imagine what the stable had to endure when they lost Gloria Victis. I've been surprised by their apparent willingness to consider seriously a tilt at the big one, with Long Run & Kauto still on course.
